Things You'll Need
Instructions
Wrap your bird feeder's entire post or pole with tin or aluminum stove piping. These pieces will connect to one another and lock in place.
Cut a piece of tin flashing long enough to go around your feeder's platform so that it will hang down about 12 to 36 inches. Then, starting at the back of your feeder's platform, wrap and attach the tin flashing to the platform with small nails, screws or a staple gun.
Cut another piece of tin flashing that's as wide as the back of your feeder. Attach it to the back of the feeder's platform so that it looks like a 12- to 18-inch flap sticking out of the back.
Cut and attach pieces of tin flashing to the bottom of your bird feeder if it sits on the very top of a pole.
