How Should You Cleanse a Bloodstone?

Deeper than forest green, bloodstone -- or heliotrope -- partly earned its name from the blood-like flecks of red that pepper its appearance. Bloodstone is rooted in folklore. New Age healers credit the stone with curative properties including, blood detoxifier, confidence boosting and dream aid. Others claim it protects against curses. According to the Gen Trade Net website, good quality bloodstone is difficult to find. As with any healing stones, like crystals, users cleanse bloodstones to purify it of negative energy.
