Mount the Components
Mount the tube and coil sockets underneath the chassis by fitting them to the rightmost hole near the back and fastening the mounting screws through their holes on either side.
Mount the output transformer (the part that features four wire leads) in similar fashion underneath the chassis in its place at front and center.
Fasten the filter choke into the same holes into which you just placed the output transformer, but on the upper side.
Mount the speaker output strip in place, fitting the switches through the middle set of holes in the front of the chassis from the inside and fastening them in places with screws.
Mount the headphone jack in similar fashion to the left of the speaker output.
Thread a machine screw through the antenna clip, followed by the shouldered washer in the kit, then through the final remaining port on the front of the chassis so that the bend in the clip is on the left.
Thread a plain fiber washer and a solder lug from the kit onto the screw from the other side of the chassis, then fasten it in place with an included hex nut.
Fasten the regneration control to the rear panel on the left side from the inside of the chassis with the machine screws and the included locking washer.
Mount the variable bandspread capacitor to the other port in the rear panel from the inside, also with a lock washer between it and the chassis.
Place the bandset capacitor atop the chassis at its center and fit its three tapped holes over the corresponding holes in the chassis. Fasten the component in place with the special 6-32 by 1/4 inch machine screws included in the kit for this purpose.
Take the mounting strip included with the antenna trimmer capacitor and bend it such that it will keep the capacitor from reaching over the edge of the chassis.
Thread a solder lug onto two machine screws from the kit, then thread one through each end of the capacitor, followed by a threaded spacer from the kit.
Fit the spacers over the appointed holes at the far right end of the upper rear plate of the chassis and drive a machine screw into the other end of each spacer from the rear side.
Push a rubber grommet into place at the far left end of the front face of the chassis, where the power cord will lead into. Place another one into the hole in front of the filter choke, just above the speaker output.
Wiring
Study the wiring schematic in the owner's manual carefully.
Install all of the wire leads you will need first, soldering them in place with rosin-core solder. Keep the leads as short as you can while still being able to reach their components. At points where multiple wires are to be connected, wait to solder until all are contacting the point and solder them all at once.
Solder the resistors and fixed-value capacitors into place.
Assembly
Remove by hand the hex nuts holding the regeneration control and bandspread capacitor at the rear of the chassis.
Slide the front panel over the threaded bushings of these control components, making sure that the holes line up with the control shafts, then replace the hex nuts and tighten well.
Solder the wires from the antenna trimmer to the bandset capacitor and to the solder lug of the antenna clip (the wire will need to run along the underside of the chassis).
Fit the circular dial plate over the shank of the transparent knob, and slide it against the inner face so that the dial may be read through the knob.
Close the bandset capacitor's plates fully if they are not already closed, then slide the knob onto the knurled shaft so that the number "0" on the dial is aligned with the pointer indicator.
