How to Calibrate a MFJ Meter

MFJ Enterprises Inc. was founded in 1972 as a supplier and distributor of ham radio equipment. Today, it has expanded into the market of components used in the production of antenna tuners, which are designed to handle high-power operation. One of the lines of products offered by MFJ is antenna meters, which monitor the amount of tracking and gain on MFJ ham radio units, allowing you to adjust the quality of the sound. Calibration of MFJ meters involves a sequence of menu choices.

     Turn off your MFJ meter's power.

     Turn the meter back on and hold down the MODE and GATE buttons while it is starting back up.

     Alternate between pressing the MODE and GATE switches alternately as the display is coming back up to enter the meter into test mode.

     Advance the display to the "R-S-Z" screen by pressing the MODE button. Press and hold the MODE key to automatically calibrate the unit.
