How to Wire a Sadelta EC-2000

The Sadelta EC-2000 is a vintage citizens band -- or CB -- radio component that produces an echo chamber effect while transmitting. The device also is capable of improving transmissions, if tuned correctly. Wiring the Saldetta is a two-step process that involves hooking up the main power jack, and then installing and connecting the antenna wire. It takes approximately 1 hour to wire the Sadelta EC-2000.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the hood on the vehicle you will be mounting the CB in, and remove the negative battery cable with the adjustable wrench.

    • 2

Use a screwdriver to mount the Sadelta to the mounting brackets that come with the unit.

    • 3

Run the red power wire from the CB to the fuse panel on the vehicle. Use a wire stripper to strip about 1 inch of plastic sheathing off the wire. Insert the wire into an auxiliary output slot on the fuse box. Connect the black wire from the CB to a ground surface, like the vehicle's chassis.

    • 4

Connect the antenna wire onto the antenna jack -- plugging it in by hand.

    • 5

Reconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable with the adjustable wrench.
