How to Cross Bands With TS-2000

Kenwood's TS-2000 multiband transceiver provides users with enough processing power to support the transmission and reception of radio broadcasts. The transceiver's DSP (Dual High Speed Processing) processors allow the unit to handle the reception or transmission of two frequencies simultaneously. If you'd like to use the transceiver's dual frequency processing to receive audio from two bands at once, you can take advantage of the TS-2000's cross-band feature.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn your TS-2000 on, using the power button on the front of the unit.

    • 2

Key in your first frequency into the transceiver's first band, using the unit's numerical keypad. Press the "Main" button, and then key the frequency you'd like to use on the second band.

    • 3

Turn the "Main Sql" knob to silence both bands. Press the TS-2000's "Menu" button to access the unit's menu options.

    • 4

Turn the "Multi/CH" knob to select the "Menu No. 61 A" option from the onscreen menu, and then select the "Cross" sub-option to cross-band your selected frequencies.
