How to Use an ICOM DSP

The Icom Digital Signal Processor (DSP) includes an automatic notch filter function to automatically attenuate beat tones and tuning signals as they are moving. It functions on Single Side Band, FM and AM. There is also a noise reduction function that reduces noise and picks out the signals you want to hear when they are covered by noise. The AF signals are then converted to digital and then the signals are separated. Connections are made and the DSP is attached to the PLL unit with hook-and-loop tape.
