Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take apart the supplied round plug by sliding off the boot and removing the set screw. Then unscrew the shell. Slide the boot over the end of the cable at the rotator end.
Strip 5/8-inch of the sheathing from both ends of the cable and then remove 3/16-inch of the individual wire insulation. Solder the wires to the round pin plug pins. You can use any color, but make a note of which colors attach to which pins. Don't use the seventh pin. Use the Yaesu-supplied documentation to identify the pin numbers on the rectangular plug and on the round plug.
Crimp the supplied pin contacts onto the wires at the controller end. Then insert the pins into the rectangular controller plug following your notes as to color coding and Yaesu's numbering system.
Connect the rotator control cable to the six-pin jack on the rear of the rotator control. Connect the other end into the rotator. Then plug the AC cable into a power outlet and into the rear of the control panel. There is no adapter. Press the "Power" button and then the "Left" button to test. The rotator will move left. Then press the "Right" button to test, and the rotator will move right.
