Instructions

    • 1

      Fully charge the battery pack according to the manufacturer's instructions. This will take approximately 15 hours for the first use.

      Connect the antenna to the jack on the top of the unit.

      Adjust the squelch level. Turn the "SQL" button, found on top of the unit, fully counterclockwise then turn the volume control until the noise heard is at a suitable level. The "Busy" indicator light will illuminate green. Rotate the "Dial" control until only white noise is heard then adjust the "SQL" control so that no noise is heard and the light goes out.

      Press "F/M," on the keypad, followed by the "Lock" button to unlock the keypad.

      Set the operating frequency by pressing the "VFO" button on the keypad and rotating the "Dial" control until the desired frequency is reached. Press "Step" to set the frequency.

      Press "F/M" then "Low" to change between low and high power output.

      Transmit by pressing and holding the "PTT" (Push To Talk) button, found on the side of the unit. To receive transmissions, release the "PTT" button.
