Instructions
Unscrew the outer shell of the connector from the plug and set the two aside.
Prepare one end of the coaxial cable by stripping off two inches of the black outer insulation away with the strippers. Cut away one inch of the wire mesh and white center insulation until you reach the center conductor wire. Use caution so as not to cut through the center conductor.
Slide the connector shell over the end of the cable with the threaded end toward the end of the cable. Let it slide down the cable for the moment while the plug is attached.
Plug in the soldering iron into an outlet and allow it to heat up to normal operating temperature.
Slide the plug down over the end of the cable, taking note to guide the center conductor wire through the hole in the center pin in the end of the plug. Screw the plug down onto the cable, in a clockwise direction, until it is full seated on the cable.
Trim the center conductor wire on the cable so that it is flush with the end of the center pin on the plug. Solder the tip of the center conductor wire to the top of the center pin, but touching the soldering iron to the solder as you apply it to the tip of the wire. Melt just enough solder to form a tight bond.
Locate the three holes in the side of the plug that allow you to see the wire mesh through each of them. Use the soldering iron to melt and fill each of the three holes with solder to form a connection between the outer portion of the plug and the wire mesh of the cable.
Slide the connector shell back up to the end of the cable with the newly soldered plug on the end, and screw the shell onto the plug to complete the soldering and assembly of the connector.
