Iron Horse Wood Crafts

Iron Horse Wood Crafts is a New Hampshire artisan specializing in wood crafts. There are few places to purchase Iron Horse items, but one of the best places to find the crafts is at the Hartman Model Railroad museum. This museum is located off of a real railroad line and offers many features for visitors from model train displays to a store featuring models and local craftsmen.
  1. Location

    • The Iron Horse Craft store is located inside of the Hartman Model Railroad store. This store is part of the railroad museum located in Intervale, New Hampshire. The store and museum are built directly on a railroad line that runs between the United States and Canada. The store is located on the passenger line and is one of the stops a passenger can make along the way to learn about the old train systems and railway cars.

    Merchandise

    • The Hartman Model Railroad store also sells merchandise other than wood crafts. The store sells model trains and railway systems, model cars, model boats and model planes. The store also sells other hobby items, such as stamps and coins for collecting. Since the store features a railway theme, many of the items inside the store are railway related. The store offers variety of model train brands and supplies.

    Wood Crafts

    • The Iron Horse Crafts booth inside the Hartman store features many wood crafts created by local artists. Some of the merchandise includes dolls, dollhouses, bears, small toys and models and decorative items for the home. If desired, you can place a custom order with Iron Horse Crafts and they will create a customized wood object just for you.

    Museum

    • In addition to the store, the site also has a small museum on the railroad. In the museum visitors can learn about real railroads and rail cars in addition to viewing model train layouts ranging from completely fictional to models based on real railroad systems in the United States and Canada. Children can enjoy the ̶0;Thomas̶1; themed trains while adults will enjoy the more realistic-looking train layouts and tracks. The museum is open from 10 to 5 p.m. most days of the year with a few exceptions for holidays.
