The BlueLIne Heavy Mikado model locomotive comes "DCC" (Digital Command Control) ready, which means that you can easily add a decoder if you want to control the locomotive and its features using a digital controller. DCC sets use controllers to digitally command multiple locomotives including their speed, lights and a variety of sound effects, providing realistic operation. For the Heavy Mikado, this includes a variety of steam engine sounds. Adding a DCC controller to the BlueLine Heavy Mikado brings it from basic analog control of features to advanced digital function in a few minutes.
