Instructions
Upend the Thomas engine on a table. Remove the screws from the bottom edges with a Phillips screwdriver. Turn the engine right side up. Insert a tip of a flat-edged jeweler̵7;s screwdriver into a side of the hubcap on the wheel which has the gear that has come loose attached to it. Pull back on the tip to remove the hubcap. If there is no hubcap, ignore this step.
Remove the screw from the center of the wheel with the Phillips screwdriver. Pull the wheel off. Repeat this entire procedure with the other three wheels.
Separate the two sections of the train from each other. Place the section that has the gear on the table with the inside facing up. Grip an end of the gear with needle-nose pliers. Realign the gear so that it is properly seated on the assembly inside the section.
Place the other section of the train back on the section on which you just worked.
Place the wheels back on and reattach the screws. Reattach the hub caps, if they are there. Upend the train and reattach the screws at the bottom. Stand the train back up on the table.
