Miniature helipads can be useful in a number of small-scale models. In war games, they can be areas for reinforcements to arrive. Architecture models often include them for corporate clients. Model railroad layouts often have them to create a wider variety of terrain. Miniature versions are relatively simple to create.

Instructions
1
Cut a sheet of plasticard into a circle, square or octagon, depending on preference. Make sure it is large enough to support a scale helicopter.
2
If building a rooftop helipad, surround the exterior of the helipad with fencing intended to catch loose objects or people.
3
Use plasticard girders to create a support framework beneath the helipad.
4
Paint the helipad as desired. Add a large block "H" to the pad to signify its use.
