How to Motorize LEGO Trains

In addition to the countless buildings and cars which are part of the LEGO world, it is also a perfect system for building trains and train sets. You can make a number of different trains, but not all of them are self-propelled. There is an extra LEGO accessory which users can attach to the bottom of the train to get it moving on its own, as well as a device to control the train's speed.

    • 4

Push the two included plus-shaped Technic rods into the sides of your train motor. Attach the wheels to the outsides.

    • 5

Clip the train motor to the bottom of your train. Set the train back on the tracks.

    • 6

Turn up the dial on the speed regulator until the train starts moving to test the train's functionality.
