Cleaning the Engine
Turn off the train and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Clean the wheels by taking a pair of tweezers and removing any clumps or fibers.
Remove grime or grit from the engine by taking a cotton swab and wiping it away.
Use a toothpick dipped in light solvent oil (such as WD-40) to clean and lube the joints and contact surfaces.
Cleaning the Track
Check the track for any debris. Using a small broom, sweep away any loose dirt or debris.
Soak a cloth in rubbing alcohol and then rub the cloth down the track. Make sure you are removing all dirt and dust particles that can interfere with the components of the train's engine.
Wipe down your control center and transformer with a clean cloth. Prevent it from getting dusty because dust particles with interfere with the controls.
