Jewelry
Preserving you four-leaf clover allows you to use it in jewelry-making, such as attaching it to necklaces or bracelets. After placing the clover between unglazed paper or newspaper, allow it to dry in a cool, dark place for two to four days. The drying time depends on the moisture in the clover. Next, store them in floral boxes or poly bags until you are ready to use them in jewelry-making. At your local craft store, purchase a small, clear charm holder that attaches to necklaces or bracelets. Next, insert the four-leaf clover into the charm holder and secure it to the jewelry. Wear the jewelry yourself or give it to a loved one as a present during the holiday season or for St. Patrick's Day.
Four-Leaf Clover Stamp
Once you have harvested your four-leaf clover, turn it into a stamp. Holding the stem of the four-leaf clover, place it against an ink-pad or into a small amount of paint until the top of the leaves have ink or paint on them respectively. Next, press the four-leaf clover onto a piece of paper. Once removed, you'll have an imprint of your four-leaf clover. Just remember to handle the stem gently so you maximize the use of your natural stamp. An alternative to this idea is to trace the outline of the clover into the paper with a thin marker or colored pencil. Then, fill in the outline completely to complete your four-leaf clover. This makes a nice addition to stationary near the header of the page or in closing where you sign your name.
Scrapbook Pages
Bring a little luck to your scrapbook pages by attaching a four-leaf clover. Place the clover leaves between layers of newspaper until dry. Then, place the clover on the desired scrapbook page beneath the contact paper. Once the sticky surface on the contact paper rests upon the leaf, it's secure. Other methods include pasting the four-leaf clover with scrapbook paste directly to the page if there is no contact paper. However, over time, the leaf may deteriorate without a protective surface over it.
Wax Sealed
Another method of preserving your four-leaf clover is to create a wax pressing. Place the four-leaf clover between two pieces of wax paper. Place a towel over the wax paper. Next, turn the iron to low-medium heat and gently move it back and forth over the towel. Within a few minutes the wax will melt and form a seal around the four-leaf clover. Finally cut out the clover from the wax paper using scissors. Place it on your desk, in your wallet or other special place where you wish to bring a little good luck.
