How to Test a Siemens PT100

The Siemens PT 100 is a temperature sensor found in devices such as the DaqPro data logger. This device is used to measure voltage, current and temperature. Testing the sensors of the data logger is done by running a calibration routine on the device. To perform the calibration you will need to connect your data logger to a laptop or desktop computer system running the application software.

Instructions

      Plug one end of the USB connector cable to the port on the data logger. Plug the other end of the cable into a USB port on your computer.

      Click ̶0;Logger̶1; from the main window of data logger application. Select the ̶0;Calibrate sensors̶1; option on the screen. Enter the password and the click the ̶0;OK̶1; button.

      Select ̶0;PT-100̶1; from the ̶0;Select sensor̶1; drop down selection box and click the ̶0;OK̶1; button. You will now see the ̶0;Sensor calibration̶1; dialog box appear.

      Click the ̶0;Restore defaults̶1; button to reset the data logger. Click the ̶0;Start̶1; button to begin. Your data logger will begin recording in a few moments.

      Click the option on the screen for ̶0;Get Zero.̶1; Click the ̶0;OK̶1; button to save the calibrated sensor data in the memory of the data logger device and the computer application.
