How to Assemble a Rock River Arms LAR-15

The Rock River Arms LAR-15 is a gas-powered assault rifle. The rifle design mimics the military-utilized M16 design in a civilian platform. The rifle can be red with multiple sized magazines and be customized with a variety of handles, scopes and butt stocks. The gun can be assembled and disassembled for cleaning, storage and transportation purposes.

Instructions

    • 1

      Locate the charging handle. This is the component which includes the trigger and hand grip. Hold the charging handle so the hand grip is pointed vertically toward the floor.

      Slide the action spring inside the empty hole located on the top, back end of the charging handle. Slide the buffer into the middle of the action spring and hole until the head of the buffer is flush with the hole outlet. The hammer may need to be cocked or released in order for these components to be assembled.

      Hold the bolt assembly in a horizontal position with the widest end on the left. Rotate the bolt assembly until the vertical blank is visualized. Push the extractor spring into the vertical blank. The protruding piece should face the middle, center of the assembly.

      Rotate the bolt assembly until the hole is facing up. Slide the assembly into the bolt carrier.

      Press the cam pin into the hole in the center of the bolt carrier. Rotate the pin a quarter-turn to hold the pin into place. Pull the bolt out to unlock it.

      Slide the firing pin into the rear of the bolt carrier. Slide the retaining pin into the fire pin to hold it in place. The bullet tip can be used to push the pieces into proper position.

      Push forward and down on the charging handle until it fits snugly into the receiver.

      Attach the bolt carrier and bolt.

      Push the charging handle and bolt carrier forward.

      Connect the upper and lower receiver together. Slide the pivot pin into position to secure the pieces together.
