How to Attach a Kite Trike Buggy to a Paramotor

Adventure-seekers can combine a love for speed with the freedom of flying with a kite trike buggy. Basically, stripped down go-karts where the rider holds a large parachute, kite trike buggies allow riders to power through a variety of terrain while being pulled around as the wind blows the parachute every which way. Add extra power to your kite trike buggy by attaching it to a paramotor, which is essentially a large fan that sits behind the trike buggy seat to propel the machine on the ground as well.

Instructions

    • 1

Build the paramotor frame kit according to the specific directions for the brand of paramotor you purchased.

    • 2

Line up the paramotor frame with the seat of the kite trike buggy. Mark where the frame of the paramotor meets the seat of and exterior of the kite trike buggy.

    • 3

Choose the most secure areas where the frame and the buggy meet. For example, the locations you choose should ideally be metal on metal to ensure the bolts connecting the two will not rip out of a soft surface, such as a seat.

    • 4

Hold the paramotor frame to the kite trike buggy and drill a hole to the two in all of the areas you want to bolt the two together. When deciding how many bolts you want to use, consider the size of both the paramotor and the kite trike buggy to ensure that they will be securely fastened to one another.

    • 5

Use an impact wrench to drive bolts through the paramotor and the kite trike buggy. Test the buggy to ensure it is safe once the two components are connected.
