Balancing the Blades
Remove the blades from the helicopter following the manufacturer's instructions.
Tie a piece of fishing line to the center of the blades, where they connect to the main mast. This is also known as the root of the blades.
Hang the fishing line from a ceiling hook. Inspect the blades to determine if one blade is dipping lower than the other blade. You can hold a level next to the blade, to help you determine if they are balanced evenly.
Stick a small piece of tape to the underside of a blade that is balancing higher than the other one. The tape should be positioned as close to the root of the blade as possible. Add and remove tape until the blades are evenly balanced.
Balance both the main blades and the tail blades.
Helicopter Inspection
Inspect the body and tail of the helicopter. If any part of the helicopter is bent from a crash, the part may need to be repaired or replaced.
Check the seams of the helicopter's body and tail. Secure loose seams with a piece of tape or a little glue, to prevent them from shaking and causing vibrations.
Ensure that any visible screws are tightened completely.
