How to Remove the Injector From an SVT 40 Bolt

The Samozaryadnaya Vintovka Tokarev 40 is a semi-automatic rifle that was used by Soviet Union troops during and after World War II. The SVT-40 was a follow-up model to the SVT-38, which was introduced in 1939 but had several design flaws including an awkward length and a tendency for the magazine to fall out. The SVT-40 improved upon this design with a 10-magazine clip bolt action injector/ejector system. The injector/ejector is removed during field stripping and cleaning the rifle. The injector/ejector is comprised of a recoil spring and carrier.
