Position a clean piece of paper in front of you. Draw a square or rectangle centered in the middle of the paper. The square or rectangle should be the shape and size that you want for your comic panes.
Write the name of your comic above the top of the pane. The type of lettering should reflect the logo of your comic as this will be your comic template and will be seen every time you post your comic.
Write any copyright or author information on the left edge of the pane. The writing should be positioned vertically. Choose the font and font size so that it complements your comic logo and size. Ink over all of the lines on your template that you wish to be permanent. Erase all the remaining sketched lines.
Position your template into your scanner and scan the image. Save the image as "template." You will need to print a copy of this template every time you want to create a new comic pane.
Sketch the comic into the template. Place dialogue bubbles into the comic pane as desired. Place words in the dialogue bubbles or on the comic as desired. Make sure that you observe all of the pane edges. Ink over all of the lines on your template that you wish to be permanent. Add shading with your pen as desired. Erase all the remaining sketched lines.
Position the pane into your scanner and scan the image. Save the image as the "Comic Name - Pane Number." Replace the comic name with your comic's name and the pane number with the corresponding number.
Navigate to your website or web comic hosting platform. Follow the directions from the hosting platform or website programming to post the pane of your comic.
