Things You'll Need
Instructions
Record the disassembly of the Castle 2200KV as you remove each part with a camera. This will help in the reassembly of the motor.
Remove the batteries from the battery housing on the radio-controlled truck or car that needs a motor repair.
Disconnect the 2200KV motor from the gear plate using a screwdriver. Set the screws aside in the order in which you removed them.
Take off the motor housing by removing the screws at the bottom of the motor and sliding the housing off the top. Set the housing cover aside.
Remove the endbell by taking out the four endbell screws. Set both the screws and end bell aside. The Castle 2200KV motor repair kit comes with endbell screws, but save the existing screws in case you need more or one gets lost.
Slide off the short and long spacers from the long end of the rotor and check for damage.
Remove the baring from the other end of the rotor by sliding it off. Depending on the condition of the baring, you might need to use pliers to help remove.
