How to Whiten Teeth in Paint

Paint is a program that comes with Microsoft Windows. It can be used to enhance or alter photos, or to create digital drawings and paintings. If you want to enhance a portrait photograph, you can use the Paint program to do so. Conservative alteration of your photograph will allow you to whiten teeth in a subtle, undetectable way.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your desired photo file, by selecting "Open" at the top-right of the screen and then locating the file.

    • 2

Choose "Paint" from the pull-down menu. Click on "View" at the top-left of the page, then "Zoom" from the pull-down menu. Click on "Custom" and choose your desired level of magnification.

    • 3

Avoid using the colors in the available palette, such as a stark white or light gray, to alter the photo; work with the natural colors in the photograph. Select the "Pick Color" tool and click on the lightest natural shade in the teeth to add them to your palette. Then carefully add small amounts of that color to expand the brightest areas of the teeth, or to add additional highlights. Avoid using square pixelated shapes or large blocks of color; use the brush tool to add color in small, subtle strokes.

Select a slightly darker natural color from the photo with the "Pick Color" tool, and work outward along the edges of the brightest areas. Pay attention to the way the teeth are naturally shaded in the photograph, and follow that general pattern. The idea is to use the existing colors in the photo to shade naturally from highlights to lowlights.

Click on "Edit," then select "Undo" to go back, if you make a mistake.
