Repairing the Lens
Turn on the camera. Turn off the digital zoom option. This will cause the lens to malfunction in some cases.
Turn off the camera. Apply slight pressure to the lens with your finger. Turn on the camera. If the LCD still shows a ̶0;lens error̶1; message, try turning off the camera, applying gentle pressure to the lens and turning it back on. Repeat the process until the camera no longer shows the error message.
Zoom the lens out all the way, then bring it all the way back in. This will recalibrate the auto zoom feature included with the camera and help prevent future lens errors.
Removing the Lens
Turn the camera around so the lens is facing you. Push the ̶0;lens release" button located on the side of the lens.
Twist the front of the lens casing to the left. You may have to use a small screwdriver to unscrew some screws that are holding the lens in place.
Pull the lens housing off of the front of the camera carefully, exposing the lens. You can remove the lens after removing the lens housing. Replace the lens as desired, or reposition the existing lens. Clean the lens with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints before replacing the lens housing.
