How to Vary the Speed of PSC AC Motors

A permanent split capacitor AC motor allows pilots of RC vehicles to power and control various aspects of these vehicles, such as speed. There are two settings on the motor block related to speed, allowing you to adjust the minimum and maximum speed of the vehicle by making use of a basic household tool.

Instructions

      Turn your motor drive off. Place a Phillips screwdriver into either the "Min" or "Max" screws displayed on the front of the motor drive.

      Adjust the minimum speed of the motor by turning the "Min" screw on the motor drive. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the minimum speed. You can adjust the minimum speed from zero to 40 miles per hour.

      Adjust the maximum speed of the motor by turning the "Max" screw on the motor drive. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the minimum speed. You can adjust the speed from 70 to 110 miles per hour.
