Instructions
Replace the check-valve to fix the Flotec FP0S3200A's tendency to stop and start intermittently during use. You may also have to replace the float switch if this problem still occurs after you have replaced the check-valve because the float switch also could be faulty.
Replace an evidently blown fuse, which is a common cause for the unit simply failing to start. New fuses are available from most hardware stores and will allow the motor for the Flotec FP0S3200A to run properly again.
Remove the pump and clean the pump and piping to repair the issue of the pump simply refusing to shut off. If the work on the pump and piping does not fix the issue, clean the intake screen and the impeller too.
Make a hole in the check-valve. Occasionally the check-valve will be installed without a key vent and you must fix this otherwise the pump will operate but deliver little -- or no -- water. Drill a one-sixteenth to one-eighth-inch diameter hole between the pump vent hole discharge and the check valve -- about 1 to 2 inches above where the discharge pipe screws into the pump discharge.
