DIY Waverunner Roller

Keep your water sport machines organized and mobile in the off season with a Waverunner roller. A Waverunner roller holds your jet ski by the bottom and allows it to be wheeled around in any direction with the use of four swivel wheels. A Waverunner roller that is capable of storing your jet ski is simple in design. One can be built in less than an hour using construction lumber purchased at any hardware store.

Instructions

    • 1

Set two 48-inch boards on edge, parallel so the outside surfaces of the boards are 20 inches apart. Position a 32-inch board against each pair of ends on the 48-inch boards. The ends of the 32-inch boards are 6 inches away from the sides of the 48-inch boards. Screw six screws through each 32-inch board so three screws enter each end of the 48-inch boards. This is the frame to your Waverunner roller.

    • 2

Turn the frame to your roller over so the 32-inch boards are off of the ground. Screw two swivel wheels to each 32-inch board, one at each end of the boards so they're flush with the ends. Turn the roller over again so it's resting on the wheels.

    • 3

Fold a carpet piece over the top edge of each 48-inch board so the ends of the carpet are flush with the ends of the boards. The 48-inch edges of the carpet will touch the top edges of the 32-inch boards. Staple the carpet pieces to the 48-inch boards using a staple for every 3 inches of coverage on each side of the boards. The carpet will keep the bottom of your Waverunner from being scratched.
