Instructions
Remove any dirt or debris from the bottom of your shoes and allow them to dry. Spray a water-based weatherproofing spray on the bottom of each shoe or use a protective weatherproofing wax. Clean and respray or rewax before each outing.
Watch your step. Cleats secure to the ground, so walking through the woods or through a pile of leaves or dirt will likely cause debris to stick to the bottom of your shoes.
Purchase a golf shoe brush, which is a small, hard-bristled brush made specifically to clean the bottom of a shoe. Move the brush up and down and then side to side to remove debris during or after your game. Use the brush as often as necessary.
