Identify local men who want to join a men's group by publicizing your group to the local community. Take out an advertisement in the newspaper and promote the group in various online venues. Put the group on group-oriented social networking sites, such as Meetup and Facebook. Start a new group on these sites, allowing people to join your men's group through their favorite social networking site. People will find your men's group when searching for groups on these websites. Your online groups should feed people to your original men's group. These are not separate groups on each website, but different routes to the same group.
Designate a specific meeting place, a hub where group members can meet for orientation and subsequent group meetings. Not all of your time will be spent in this meeting place because the group may be participating in activities all over the area. But, you need a place where the group can come together to plan future activities and meet new members of the group.
Set up a launch day for your men's group. Let all group members know the date of your launch day and tell them about the event. Encourage men to bring anybody with them who might want to join the group.
Plan intimacy-building activities for the men in the group. Men's groups allow men to reveal their feelings to other men. Give the men plenty of time together at each meeting to talk about their lives and their feelings. Longer events, such as overnight camping trips, allow men to build intimacy and trust with one another.
Enforce a strict ̶0;no women̶1; policy for the group. Allowing women into your men's group would undermine the purpose of the group, which is to deepen connections between men.
