How to Dress Up Like Ash From Pokemon

Ash is the main character of the ̶0;Pokémon̶1; animated series, known for his ball cap and his friend and powerful ally, Pikachu. Dressing as Ash does not require too much in the way of special costume materials, though you can naturally make your costume as detailed and accurate as you desire. If you want to be recognized as Ash, you absolutely must include a few components in your costume. Ash does not have many trademarks, but the ones he does have are immediately obvious to fans of the series.

Things You'll Need

Black T-shirt
Brown belt
Green gloves
Blue jeans
Ball cap
Blue coat with white and yellow accents
Pikachu

Instructions

  Wear a black T-shirt and tuck it into a pair of blue jeans.

  Put on a brown belt with a silver buckle.

  Find or make a blue, short-sleeved jacket. Ash̵7;s jacket has two yellow buttons at the collar, yellow pocket liners, white sleeves and a large white collar. The jacket is similar in design to many varsity jackets.

  Put on a pair of green fingerless gloves.

  Wear a red hat with a white front. The back, sides and bill of Ash̵7;s hat are red, while the face above the bill is white and has a green logo.

  Attach a stuffed Pikachu toy to your shoulder or carry one around with you as you cosplay.
