How to Open a Locked Sprinkler System Panel

A sprinkler system contains a panel to shield the buttons and components from the elements. Each sprinkler systems contain its own type of panel. Depending on your sprinkler system, you will need to open the locked panel in a certain manner. Refer to your product manual to find this exact method for your system. However, many sprinkler systems share commonalities when it comes to opening the panel.

  Touch the sides of the sprinkler panel. Many panels have a side hatch that locks the panel̵7;s front cover. If yours has such a hatch, unlock it with your fingers, and then open the panel.

  Enter the correct combination, if your sprinkler system has a combination lock mechanism. Then open the system panel.

  Unjam the panel, if it's stuck. If your panel will not open with your hand, you may need to use a screwdriver to prop the panel open.
