How to Clean Diecast Metals

Instructions

    • 1

Fill a bowl with warm tap water. The size of the bowl will vary depending on the size of the die cast figure you need to clean. For example, for small metal cars, you only need a small bowl.

    • 2

Place a few drops of normal dish detergent into the water. Rub the dish detergent into the water with your finger to help mix the two substances together.

    • 3

Submerge the figure into the water and remove it, repeating the motion a few times slowly. Avoid moving too fast or the water will spill or pieces of your figure can break.

    • 4

Wipe a soft cloth against the surface of your figure. Spots of dirt and dust will wipe away with ease.

    • 5

Place your figure on a towel and let it air dry for a few minutes.
