Painting on Glass Glue Acrylic

Glass can make a fantastic canvas for the art enthusiast. You can take a glass jar and turn it into a beautiful work of art using some glue and acrylic paint. The project can be as simple or as complex as your schedule allows. It works best if you have some time to plan and execute the task; otherwise, your end product might look hurried and messy.

Things You'll Need

Glass jar
Glue
3-D paint
Washable marker
Dishwasher soap
Food coloring
Paintbrush

Instructions

  Use puffy paint, or 3-D paint, to make an outline on the glass container. Make the outline in shape you wish and allow it to dry. If you want, you can use a washable marker to make the outline. This way, if you make a mistake, you can simply wash the jar. If you feel fully confident, you can make the outline with the paint first.

  Place the glue onto your palette. Add in a drop of dishwasher soap and some food coloring. Mix the components together.

  Test your mixture in the area you wish to paint. If the appearance doesn̵7;t please you, add some more food coloring to your mixture.

  Paint within the outlines using your mixture. If you get a bubble, simply paint over it to make it go away. Allow the jar to dry.
