How to Build King Tut's Tomb With LEGOs

King Tutenkamen (the Egyptian Pharaoh known collegially as ̶0;Tut̶1;) was entombed surrounded by treasures few can imagine. If you want to hide your own treasures in Tut̵7;s tomb, you must build his final resting place around them without any entranceway. To build King Tut̵7;s tomb, use LEGOs to make a fun pyramid like the one that connotes the power and prestige of the boy king in the days of ancient Egypt.

Things You'll Need

  • LEGO plate, 14 inches by 14 inches
  • LEGO Egyptian action figure, 2 inches
  • 44 - 6-block LEGOs
  • 12 - 4-block LEGOs
  • 4 - 2-block LEGOs
  • 5 - 1-block LEGOs

Instructions

    • 1

Place the LEGO plate on a table. Lay the LEGO Egyptian action figure that will be ̶0;King Tut̶1; flat on the plate near its center. Place LEGO blocks horizontally on the plate closest to you and beneath the action figure in the following manner, starting at the left end of the plate: a 6-block LEGO, a 6-block LEGO and a 6-block LEGO. Press the blocks against the plate to secure them in place.

    • 2

Place LEGOs blocks vertically in the same order as you have just completed, only to the right of the action figure, starting at the right end of the set of blocks closest to you. Place LEGO blocks horizontally in the same manner, only above the action figure, starting at the top right of the vertical block of LEGOs. Place LEGO blocks vertically in the same manner as was just done, only to the left of the action figure, starting at the left end of the horizontal set of blocks farthest from you.

    • 3

Place another set of blocks in the same manner, only place these blocks on top of the first set of blocks closest to you. Move the blocks away from you so that the holes on the bottom are over the holes on the base set of blocks farthest from you. Change the last block from a 6-block LEGO to a 4-block LEGO and a 2-block LEGO. Press the two sets of blocks together. Repeat this procedure, only with the vertical sets of blocks and the horizontal set of blocks farthest from you.

    • 4

Place another set of blocks on top of the top set of blocks closest to you. Move the new set of blocks away from you so that the holes on the bottom are over the holes on the top set of blocks farthest from you. Change the last block from a 2-block LEGO to a 1-block LEGO. Press the two sets of blocks together. Repeat this procedure, only with the vertical sets of blocks and the horizontal set of blocks farthest from you.

    • 5

Place another set of blocks on top of the top set of blocks closest to you. Move the new set of blocks away from you so that the holes on the bottom are over the holes on the top set of blocks farthest from you. Remove the last LEGO block. Press the two sets of blocks together. Repeat this procedure, only with the vertical sets of blocks and the horizontal set of blocks farthest from you.

    • 6

Place another set of blocks on top of the top set of blocks closest to you. Move the new set of blocks away from you so the holes on the bottom are over the holes on the top set of blocks farthest from you. Remove the last LEGO block. Repeat this procedure, only with the vertical sets of blocks and the horizontal set of blocks farthest from you.

    • 7

Place a 1-block LEGO on opening on the top of your pyramid that is now King Tut̵7;s tomb.
