Move the swivel the worm to the stop while simultaneously turning the indexing spindle, and hand crank. Disengage the direct dividing index, and then engage the hole plate clamp.
Look up the circle of holes on the indexing plate. If the holes are not visible on the index plate, remove the hand crank and indicator bracket. Loosen the holding screws, remove the index plate and reinstall the plate in reverse form.
Adjust the indicator bracket after loosening the locking screw. Make sure the number of holes shown in the table remains visible between the legs.
Tighten the locking screw, and then loosen the central nut on the hand crank so the index pin engages with the holes on the circle. Tighten the central nut when finished.
Engage the index of the hand crank in the starting position. Turn the indicator bracket until the index lies flush with the inside of the second indicator leg. Clamp the indexing leg when finished.
