Things You'll Need
Instructions
Preparation
Consider what activities and beliefs define you and your personality. This can include items such as your religion (or your status as an atheist or an agnostic), the hobbies and pastimes you enjoy, and major events that have shaped your beliefs and your hobbies.
Compile a combination of pictures and images that correspond to the items your brainstorming session produced. Some of these should be personal pictures of you engaging in the activities you enjoy. Others should be more generic images from magazines, newspapers, or the Internet that represent the activities you enjoy and the beliefs you hold.
Make copies of any pictures you don't want to cut up for your shoebox collage.
Base Layer
Select one item from your collection of pictures and images you believe is most important in representing who you are. This could either be a recent picture of yourself, or an image representing an idea you hold to be particularly important.
Glue this item to the center of your shoebox.
Select from the remainder of your pictures and images those items that you want to be prominently displayed and those items that you wish to be smaller additions atop the more prominent pictures and images.
Place the remainder of your images and pictures around the central image in your shoe box. Move them around into different positions until you have a layout with which you are happy.
Glue the images down in the layout you desire. Make sure that the images overlap so that the shoebox cardboard itself is not visible.
Top Layer
Trim the remaining pictures and images you have into small pieces that feature the most relevant part of the picture or image for your collage.
Place these smaller pictures and images on top of your existing collage, and move them around until you have a layout with which you are happy.
Glue these smaller pictures and images into the positions to create your desired layout.
