Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut a piece of poster board in a size you want the marble maze. The maze can be the size of one sheet of poster board or the pieces of poster board can be joined together to make a maze as large as a door frame. Paint the poster board to add flair to the marble maze, if desired.
Cut long strips from another piece of poster board or a piece of corrugated cardboard. For example, if you are making a marble maze the size of a full sheet of poster board, cut 16 strips from 6 to 12 inches. Cut two even strips for each piece so you have a duplicate for every strip. Alternatively, use as many strips as necessary to cover a larger maze. Glue the duplicate strips onto each other. Ensure they are even. This will give the tracts of the maze strength to hold the weight of a marble.
Squirt strings of glue along the long edge of the poster board or cardboard strips. Apply one strip after another around the perimeter of the poster board sheet. Leave 1 to 2 inches between the strips so that a marble can drop between them as it travels through the maze.
Make ramps inside the perimeter. Ensure that the edge of each strip is facing outward. Glue the strips at a slight slope with varying spaces between to design the path of the maze. Apply the poster board strips at odd intervals to allow the marbles to pass in different ways.
Test the maze. Start a marble rolling at the top ramp on the poster board. Ensure that it rolls and drops through each opening of the ramp.
