Instructions

  1. Chunky Can Bracelet

    • 1

Open the pop-top of one of the soda cans. Empty the soda from the can. Wash the can with dishwashing liquid in the kitchen sink. Let the can air-dry. Repeat this entire procedure with the two other soda cans.

    • 2

Place a sheet of newspaper on a table. Place one of the soda cans face down on the newspaper. Shake the can of pink spray paint for 20 seconds. Spray the sides and top of the soda can with the paint. Let the paint dry for an hour and then reapply another coat of paint.

    • 3

Turn the can over. Shake the can of pink spray paint for 20 seconds before spraying the top of the soda can. Let the paint dry for an hour and then reapply another coat of paint. Repeat this entire procedure with the other two soda cans.

    • 4

Measure 2 inches up from one of the soda cans. Cut a hole in the side of the can at the 2 inch mark with a utility knife or the point of a scissors. Rotate the can 180 degrees and repeat this cutting procedure. Repeat this entire procedure with the other two soda cans.

    • 5

Place the soda cans side by side so that the holes all line up. Run the plastic locking cord through the hole on the side of the can to your left and out of the hole on the side of the can to your right.

    • 6

Place colored stickers on the sides, tops and bottoms of the soda cans so that they now become the ̶0;charms̶1; of your bracelet. Place the end of the plastic cord around your wrist and through the loop at the other end.

    • 7

Pull the cord to engage the locking mechanism. Stop pulling the cord when a single finger can be inserted between it and your wrist so that the bracelet you have made will stay on but can be pulled off your wrist later.

Poke a hole through the center of each sticker with the blade of the utility knife. Run a plastic locking cord through the hole of the top of one of the stickers and then through the hole on the top of the second sticker and finally through the hole on the top of the third sticker.
