Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place the end of the patch cord into the output on your guitar. Plug the other end into the input on the metal distortion pedal.
Plug the end of another patch cord into the output on the distortion pedal. Plug the other end into the input on the amplifier.
Plug in the amplifier's power cord into the wall. Turn on the amplifier with the button that is usually located in the back.
Adjust the volume on your guitar to low or medium. Increase the sound on the amplifier for more distortion. A higher guitar volume setting and a lower amplifier volume setting will make the sound crisper and less distorted.
Increase the gain on your guitar and on the amplifier for additional distortion. Distortion occurs when the sound frequency is too much for the gain to handle, so increasing the gain will kick up the distortion on your pedal.
