- 90 percent rubbing alcohol
- Powdered fabric dye
- Air-tight container

Purchase rubbing alcohol with a strength of at least 90 percent, not the 75 percent medical mixture.

Choose a concentrated fabric dye, not a diluted dye or a batik dye.

Mix the alcohol and powdered fabric dye in equal proportions using a toothpick. Transfer your ink to an air-tight container and keep the lid on until you are ready to use it.
