Instructions
Lay the kayak, right side up, on top of the roof rack. Position the kayak in the center of the roof. Align it with the car.
Strap the front of the kayak to the front roof rack bar with a 1-inch wide nylon strap that has a spring loaded buckle. Wrap the nylon strap around the roof rack bar and bring it up over the kayak to the other side of the car. Wrap the nylon strap around the roof rack bar and pull it taut. Clasp the spring loaded buckle.
Strap the rear of the kayak to the rear roof rack bar with a 1-inch wide nylon strap that has a spring loaded buckle in the same manner as the front of the kayak.
Lift the front of the kayak to test the straps. The kayak should not lift up at all. Repeat with the rear of the kayak.
Push the kayak side to side to test the straps. The kayak should not tilt or move.
Tie the excess length of the strap around itself so it doesn̵7;t flap around and scratch the car while you drive.
Insert a rope through the tie handle on the front of the kayak. Pull both ends of the rope down to the front bumper until the rope is taut. Tie the rope to a solid piece on or underneath the bumper.
Insert a rope through the tie handle on the rear of the kayak and secure it to the rear bumper in the same manner as the front of the kayak.
