Things You'll Need
Instructions
Look for a brand of balloons that feature red- or green-tipped balloons. Choose tipped balloons because they have one end that is a different, contrasting color than the main color of the balloon.
Insert the tip of the balloon into your mouth and inflate the balloon to a diameter of 3 to 4 inches. Leave about 2 inches of uninflated tip. Tie a knot in the bottom of the balloon.
Wet your finger in a bowl of water and press the knot at the bottom of the apple up into its center so that it creates a core that starts in the center of the apple and extends up out of it.
Pinch the knot inside of the apple. Press the tip down into the apple with your other hand. Pinch the tip with your finger so that the tip and knot are connected inside of the balloon. Twist the tip two to three times to secure the knot and tip together inside the apple. Press the tip in slightly to shorten the length of the apple stem, if desired.
