Select the appropriate Atwood water fuel separator-kit. Consult the documentation provided with the boat to determine the correct separator. Atwood manufactures two different models.
Open the boat's hatches to increase ventilation. Close the fuel valve at the boat's fuel tank.
Plug in the supply hose from the tank at the point of separator installation. Ensure that the installation location is between the engine and the fuel tank, and that all of the hoses between the tank and engine are straight. Secure the hose with a bolt and a hose clamp.
Mount the canister using the mounting hardware, sealant and drill. Line up the two mounting holes located on the canister to ensure that the separator is installed upright.
Connect the hose from the tank to the "In" port on the separator using the clamps. Connect the hose from the engine to the "Out" port on the separator. Verify that all of the connections are intact, and then start the boat's engine. Check all of the hoses for leaks.
