Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place the person in a comfortable chair, facing forward. Apply hair conditioner by hand to the person's hair, eyebrows and beard. This application will help with the release of the cast from the person's face.
Mix one part casting solution to one part water (equal amounts), in a plastic container. Mix the solution thoroughly with a paint mixing stick, or a squirrel mixer drill bit attached to a screw gun. Ensure that the solution is creamy and has no lumps.
Pour the solution onto the person's forehead, working it downward so that it covers every part of the face. Ensure that the person's mouth is closed, and both nostrils are free of the solution for breathing. Use your hands or a brush to apply the solution. Wait five minutes for the solution to cure.
Apply support bandages over every part of the face, by hand. Make sure both nostrils are not covered. Wait 15 minutes for the bandages to dry.
Pull off the bandage support shell carefully from the face, by hand. Carefully pull off the mold from the person's face, starting at the left or right side of the face. Clean the person's face and hair in warm soapy water.
Mix a small batch of the casting solution as before, and seal each nostril on the face mask with a cotton swab. Let the solution cure for five minutes.
Mix together the clay compound solution as per manufacturer's instructions, and stir thoroughly. Position the face mask so its nose area points downward, and pour the compound into the face mask. Wait one hour for the compound to fully cure.
Pull the face mask carefully from the cured face mold.
