How to Frame Spoons

Spoon collectors collect antique or unique spoons to display. Framing your spoon collections involves placing your spoons inside of a picture frame and hanging the frame on the wall. Not only does this display your spoon collection, but it can also make decorative art for your home or apartment. The basic process involved in framing spoons is simple and can be done in a single afternoon. Create multiple displays to show off your entire spoon collection.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the backing and glass from your picture frame and place them to the side. Put the glass in a drawer somewhere safe should you ever want to use your frame for picture displaying again.

    • 2

Place three or four of your spoons together at the center of the handle. Spread the bowls of the spoon outward to spread them apart from each other. Keep them connected at one point on the handle.

    • 3

Cut off about a foot of ribbon and tie it to the center of the spoons. Wrap it around a few times and knot it in place to hold them together. Spread the ends of the ribbon outward for decoration.

    • 4

Slide the backing of your frame back into place in the picture frame. Push it down so it slides back into place firmly.

    • 5

Put glue on the back of the ribbon knot on your spoons with your glue gun. Push it into place the ribbon against the cardboard backing and lay it flat. Let it dry for an hour or so before displaying your frame.
