How to Repair Slushy Drink Machines

To repair a slush machine you need to isolate the problem.       Turn the power off and unplug the machine.

      Check to make sure the water lines are hooked up correctly and are free of kinks and leaks. Make sure the valves are set to open. Refer to the owner's manual for further information regarding installation of water lines.

      Check the outlet to make sure the correct voltage is being supplied by using a voltage tester. Voltage may vary depending upon the type of dispenser installed. If you are uncertain whether the amount being dispensed is adequate to operate your slush machine, contact a certified electrician. Check the breaker box for blown circuits or fuses.

      Check to make sure the signal cable is hooked up correctly between the control panel and the dispensing units. Check fuse and fuse holders within the unit. Follow the fuse testing and service instructions in the owner's manual if there is a problem with the internal fuses.

      Contact a professional repairman if the problem persists.

    Incorrect Mix Ratio

      Turn the power off and unplug the machine.

      Open the top access panel of the dispensing unit. Test the water output rate with the test hose and the water regulator. Check the owner's manual for the output chart of water and flavor ratios and dispensing time. Adjust the needle valve inside the autofill box by rotating it clockwise to lengthen the dispensing time and counterclockwise to shorten the dispensing time.

      Test the mix ratios again. Make further adjustments as necessary until the correct dispensing time and ratio is met.
