The science relating to mixing light and mixing paint is very different. You can make any color light you want by using red, green and blue light, known as primary colors, but this doesn̵7;t apply when mixing paint. Instead you can make any color you want, including light brown, by mixing a combination of cyan, magenta and yellow, known as subtractive colors, and you don̵7;t need to use any white paint to lighten the colors. This article describes how to make 16 ounces of light brown paint, but simply multiply the amounts in equal proportions to make more paint if required.

Stir the contents in the container using a mixing spoon. As you stir, the colors will mix and eventually yield light brown. If it̵7;s not quite the shade you want, add a little more yellow, to make it lighter, or a little more cyan and magenta to make it darker. Add the extra paint slowly until you get the light brown shade you want.
