Instructions

    • 1

Drink on average at least two quarts of water each day to keep your body and mouth hydrated. Avoid drinking caffeinated drinks such as sodas, coffee and and tea as much as possible, as caffeine dehydrates your body. Drinking beverages with moderate to small amounts of caffeine is okay if you are also drinking water to make up for the caffeine intake.

    • 2

Use a humidifier in your bedroom or in various rooms in your home you spend time in, as dry air can cause hoarseness in your voice and dryness in your mouth -- causing trouble when singing.

    • 3

Gargle 6 ounces of warm water, 1/2 teaspoon of clear corn syrup, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda for two minutes as frequently as you feel the need to clear your irritated and dry throat.
